Today’s card is kind of a Clean and Simple combination of Geometrical and the Decorative Dots embossing folder (free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration). I’m enjoying playing with my new creative supplies.
Let me tell you a little something about today’s stamp set and why I like it. I’m all about the pieces you can layer into a variety of projects. And, Geometrical from the Occasions catalog is just one such set. Equilateral triangles in varying designs, a chevron, circle, hexagon, couple of arrows and some hip typography. Chock full of good elements I say.
And, there’s a coordinating punch for those triangles!!
This Clean and Simple card started with a Pool Party base.
The Decorative Dots embossing folder from the Sale-A-Bration brochure was used on the Whisper White layer. This folder will be available in 5 days. Love the larger dots and the random placement. For the next layer, I stamped one of the triangle images from Geometrical several times in Pool Party ink and punched it with the new Triangle punch. The sentiment is also from Geometrical. After stamping it, I used one of the framelits from Word Bubbles to cut it out. The sentiment is a bit larger than the framelit so I had to do a half cut and then move the framelit and finish the cut. This was really a quick, cute, fresh card. Great for many occasions and age groups.
I’ll work on putting together a video on using the framelits as I mentioned above. It’s such an easy way to expand the use of your framelits. You’ll not want to miss this idea so be sure to check back.
