Now I don’t know about you, but part of our summer cooking is quick and easy. Well who am I kidding? Much of the year falls into that category. Maybe I should say that during the summer we have a little more time to experiment and to realize some things should be added to the list of regulars. We eat a lot of meatless meals and I’m always on the lookout for something that has lots of flavor, is tasty, quick and fairly nutritious. What in the world does this have to do with what I usually share here? The Chana Pindi that I have had written on a scrap piece of paper for about three years finally needed a recipe card. I thought I’d share it with you.
This took about 5 minutes in My Digital Studio. It could have been faster, but I had trouble deciding which designer paper I wanted to use under my title and which font I wanted for my title. I’m not sure I will ever choose to hand write a recipe again. And now that I have it digitally, I can easily share it.
I used 3 square punches which were stretched and layered. The largest square marked my overall size. I filled it with white and added a mat. I used the Match Color tool to match the mat color to a color in the designer paper. The second square was used for the header and was filled with Hooray for Parties Designer Series Paper. The third and final square punch was filled with color again using the Match Color tool. I added a drop shadow and then a text box for the title. The recipe details were also added using text boxes. There were three: one for each column of ingredients; and the last for the body of the recipe. As I said, quick and easy.
For next Sunday’s #stampingsunday, we will be using Dotty Angles.
