OSAT Blog Hop – Tic Tac Toe

OSAT Blog Hop Tic Tac Toe - April, 2016

Welcome!  We’re playing Tic Tac Toe with our creations for the April, 2016 One Stamp at a Time blog hop.  Don’t forget to click “Next” at the bottom of this post to continue to Pam’s blog.

I’ve got two creations for you today.  For mine, I chose to work across the bottom row of the tic tac toe board.

In the process of making my projects, I updated my Bokeh technique.

It was easy before — now it is super easy!

My card uses Soft Sky cardstock for the base and focal layer.

I’ve added Soft Sky, Pool Party, Whisper White Craft Ink and Versamark with Daubers.

Here’s my tool for helping me with this technique.

Bokeh Tool from

Sorry it’s a little grungy!

It’s a piece of Window Sheet in which I’ve punched 1 3/8″, 1″, 1/2″, 1/4″ and 1/16″  circles.

The glittered circles were daubed with Versamark and then covered with Heat and Stick.

After heating, I sprinkled the circles with Gold Glitter and heated again to set.

I love the surprise of these glittery circles!

The “Celebrate” (one of the Expressions Natural Elements) was first brushed with Gold wink of Stella which gave it a nice all over gold tone and a little shimmer.  But, I wanted more!  The perfect pairing was a layer of Gold Dazzling Details.

Finally, I added a line of gathered Whisper White seam binding.

Next, I created another decorative element for a chalkboard decor piece.

Bokeh Banner for the OSAT blog hop - using a new bokeh technique - from

I’ve been making seasonal pieces so that my chalkboard piece can be out all year long and stay current.

But when I started creating for this hop, I thought why not create something that could be part of the decorations for a party or celebration.

Using a piece of Soft Sky and the Banners Framelits, I cut the banner.

Then, employing the same technique that I used above I created the bokeh effect on the banner.

Once again, I’ve added a few touch of Gold glitter.

And it’s been finished with a triple bow made from Whisper White seam binding.

Since the banner doesn’t indicate a specific occasion, it could go out for many celebrations.

Those are my creations.

Now, it’s time to hop!
