Paisleys and Posies for SIP62

I’m not sure what I did today – well other than register for OnStage!  I spent my morning getting things organized and setting a reminder.  Talked to a couple of team members to make sure that everybody was ready.  I’m excited!  We’re excited!!  It’s the first time that many of my team will be going to a Stampin’ Up! event. Thankfully, new team members who join through the end of September have the option to go as long as the location that they choose to go to isn’t full.  Woohoo!! Can’t wait!!

So after that was done, I played with Paisleys and Posies for the SIP62 challenge.

I played in Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Copper.

My card starts with a Night of Navy cardstock base measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-12/” that has been scored down the center.

Next is a 4″ x 4-5/8″ layer of Night of Navy that has been adhered with Dimensionals.

Followed by a 3-7/8″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake designer paper from the Neutrals Designer Paper Stack.

For my circle layers, I used the Layering Circles — the largest plain circle for the Night of Navy layer and the second largest for the Whisper White layer.

After cutting my Whisper White circle, I laid out all of the stamp images that I wanted to use.  Then, I placed my Acrylic Block on the back of the group and picked them all up.  I then removed the three stamps that I planned to heat emboss.  The group of stamps were inked in Night of Navy and then stamped all together.

The three stamps I removed earlier were laid back into the design and picked up with an Acrylic Block.  This was great since all the spacing is taken care of.  The stamps were inked with Versamark and then the stamped images were embossed in Copper.

The Whisper White layer was adhered to the Night of Navy circle with Dimensionals before adding the larger circle to the designer paper layer.

For the sentiment, I stamped the dotted outline paisley in Versamark on a piece of Vellum.  After heat embossing with Copper, I cut the paisley out with the largest Paisley Framelit.

Then, I masked the sentiment so that all that was inked was “grateful”.  I inked the stamp first in Versamark and then in Night of Navy.  Finally, it was heat embossed in Clear.

The final detail is a 3/4″ Circle Punch of Night of Navy that was stamped with one of the circle images from Paisleys and Posies and heat embossed with Copper.

The circle was added to the Vellum with Multipurpose Glue.  Then to hide where I was adding adhesive to the Vellum, I added Multipurpose Glue under the area covered by the Night of Navy circle and behind some of the embossed dots.

The final detail is a large Basic Pearl added to the center of the Night of Navy circle.
