Basket Bunch Chocolate Chicken Treat

I’ve got an easy, treat box/favor to share with you today.  I found these bright, foil covered chocolate chickens at the Lindt store and knew I needed to create with them.  I’ve been debating just how I wanted to use them and decided this morning that simple or easy was best.

Basket Bunch Chocolate Chicken Treat Box from theartfulinker.com

Using the Hardwood stamp inked in Early Espresso, I stamped on a piece of

Tip Top Taupe.

After scoring, I used the Classic Label punch to cut a shaped hole

on either side of the crate.

The side tabs were adhered with Tear and Tape.

Then the crate was filled with a little white shred.

Next,

Basket Bunch Tag from theartfulinker.com

I created the tag using Rich Razzleberry ink and a sentiment from Basket Bunch.

Once it was stamped on a piece of Whisper White, I trimmed the piece down to the width

of the crate.

The 1/16″ Handheld punch was used to cut a pair of holes on either side of the tag.

Tip: I double punched each hole to make them just large enough

for my toothpicks to thread through.

Finally,

Create a zig zag or pinking edge with the Classic Label Punch from theartfulinker.com

I used the end of the Classic Label Punch to

create a zigzag or pinking edge at the bottom of my tag.

Tip: Just place the edge of the cardstock into the side of the punch as shown above.

Punch, then move the piece along to the edge of the first punch and repeat.

If your paper is wide/long enough, you may have to flip it over and work part of the length

from the opposite end of the punch.

Crate Directions

  • Cut a piece of cardstock to 3-3/4″ x 4-3/8″
  • Score along the portrait side: 3/4″, 3″
  • Score along the landscape side: 1-1/2″, 3″
  • Stamp with the Hardwood stamp
  • Cut a slit on both sides with the Classic Label Punch
  • Fold along score lines
  • Use Tear and Tape to secure the side tabs
