I always like to get at least double duty out of stamps and tools. Today I’m going to share something that Halloween and Hanukkah have in common.
But first let me tell you, I think my enthusiasm for the brightly colored Fall leaves is waning. Don’t get me wrong, they’re lovely and the trees have been beautiful. It’s the raking that has gotten old. I’ve raked the yard five times in the last two weeks and there are still lots of lovely leaves clinging to the trees. I guess that’s a good thing. It probably means the weather hasn’t been too cool yet. And, I’m certainly glad for that. I’ve even convinced myself that each time I rake, I’m getting a nice upper body workout. As my daughter would say, “whatever gets you through it.”
Anyway, Halloween is just around the corner. I’ve filled goodie bags today and now need to make a slew of Frankie and Mrs. Stein for them. (They were part of yesterday’s post). Though for you today, I’ve created a card.
I inked the Happy Hanukkah stamp with Memento ink. Then shadows were added and parts colored using Blendabilities.
The lovely, distressed crow is from Choose Happiness
I’ve used a piece of Flowerpot designer paper followed by a layer of Blackberry Bliss. Then I tucked in part of a tag from the September 2014 Paper Pumpkin. The candelabra image fits nicely into the large framelit from Apothecary Accents.
Time to finish up your goodie bags and cards!
