So, I did a quick Periscope earlier today on how to make a shaker card. If you didn’t catch it, it will be available until 1pm (EST) tomorrow. I thought you might like to see the card that I put together during the Periscope.
It uses Rose Wonder and the Rose Garden Thinlits and is my entry in GDP024.
The challenge was to case the designer and the element that appealed to me was the die cut shaker image on her card.
This card starts with a Blackberry Bliss cardstock base.
Then, I did a little double layer stamping so that the cluster of leaves at the top left extend off of the top layer of Whisper White onto the next layer down.
The full rose image was stamped on the bottom layer. Though you can’t see the stamping from this angle, it does add some dimension in real life.
For the top layer, I selectively die cut only the rose image using the Rose Garden Thinlits.
For my shaker bits, I added sequins from the Gold and Blushing Bride Sequin Trim, 1/4″ punched Bohemian designer paper, 1/8″ punched Blackberry Bliss cardstock and Gold Glimmer Paper.
Thanks for stopping by.
