OSAT Blog Hop – Birthdays Bash!

One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop

Welcome to the September OSAT Blog hop where we’re having a Birthday Bash!  Let us inspire your creations for your next birthday celebration.

I’ve used Birthday Fiesta for my creations.

And being me, I wanted to take the images in a different direction.

You can let me know how you think I did.

Birthday Fiesta for OSAT blog hop - from

My card starts with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Sahara Sand cardstock base.

Then, I’ve stamped the streamer image from Birthday Fiesta in Versamark and heat embossed in Gold.

Next, I stamped the llama in Memento Black and cut him out with the coordinating Fiesta Time Framelits.  I also stamped an extra blanket image and cut that out by hand.  Using the back of my Paper Piercing Tool, I gently rubbed across the back side of the stamped blanket to give it some dimension.  Then, it was added to the llama using Dimensionals.

The llama was added to a 2-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Sahara Sand with Dimensionals.  This piece was added to a 2-5/8″ x 2-7/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock.  This focal piece was then adhered with Multipurpose Adhesive to the card front.

Inside, I stamped the sentiment in Momento Black.

Then, I decorated with a couple more Gold embossed streamers.

To finish this card,

I tied a couple of loops of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around the card front.   Then, I added in a strip of Gold Sequin Trim just before tying the bow.

Ok, but I wasn’t quite done!  I pulled out my Envelope Punch Board and made a coordinating envelope.  That took ohh…maybe a minute.  Then I added Gold embossed streamers to the back flap and a piece of Pop of Pink washi down the left hand side of the front.

Now, we’re celebrating a birthday.  So, we need a gift or a favor.  I love packaging that can be either.

Birthday Fiesta Popcorn Box turned mini take out favor - from

I created this mini take out style box using the Popcorn Box Thinlits.

The box is made from Sahara Sand cardstock.

I’ve cut it down a smidge and added a lid.

The front and sides are stamped with images from Birthday Fiesta in Memento Black.

I used the streamer die from the Fiesta Time Framelits to cut Gold Glimmer Paper streamers that I attached around the bottom of the box with Multipurpose Adhesive.

On the lid, I used some more of that Pop of Pink washi.  Love the black with the flecks of gold!  Works so nicely with the overall theme.

Then, I tied a couple of loops of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around the box and tucked in a piece of Gold Sequin Trim.

I’m all ready for the next birthday!
