This month’s kit was full of great elements.

There were:

  • two sizes of laser cut cards
  • additional laser cut layers
  • pre-cut white layers
  • Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
  • die cut banners and butterflies
  • two sizes of envelopes
  • Berry Burst Baker’s Twine
  • Berry Burst Seam Binding
  • adhesives
  • Berry Burst Stampin’ Spot
  • AND the exclusive Flora and Flutter stamp set

My first alternative project for this month’s kit is a scrapbook page.

I took most of the elements directly from the kit.

The Crumb Cake photo mats are the back half of two cards.

Next, I added one of the Lemon Lime Twist laser cuts.

Then, I created a pocket from one of the Tangerine Tango laser cut cards.

Inside, I placed a journaling card made from one of the white layers in the kit.

I masked one of the stamps from the Flora and Flutter set and stamped in Berry Burst.

And finally, I attached a Peekaboo Peach tab to the top of the card.

Project 2

For my second alternative project, I used a Mini Pizza Box

and one of the laser cut cards.

First, I trimmed down the card front to fit the top of the pizza box.

Then, I trimmed the rest of the card and used it to cover the sides of the box.

Next, I used one of the white layers and stamped some of the flower image.

After adding some Gold Glitter Flakes, sequins and punched cardstock bits,

I added the laser cut piece with a Window Sheet backing to create a shaker top for my box.

To finish, I stamped a sentiment from Flora and Flutter on one of the die cut banners

and a butterfly on a butterfly die cut.

Really cool alternatives, Sara! I like how you interpreted this month’s kit. And the shaker is the coolest!

Thank you Kimberly! I often overlook scrapbook pages as an alternative.
