Paper Pumpkin Envelope Box

I guess the idea just got stuck in my head.  When I first opened August’s Paper Pumpkin Kit, I thought the cute envelopes were pillow boxes.  After really handling the contents, I realized my error.  But, I guess the idea of a box stuck around because I just couldn’t make them into envelopes.  In fact before I created anything with the kit, I created templates of the envelopes.

Here’s what I made.

The kit contained these cute polka dotted and starred envelopes.  It was easy to take two of them and create this box.  See the short “how to” video below.

The box is surprisingly roomy as you can see here.

Using the Flower Patch stamp set and Flower Patch framelits, I created this mum-like flower in Tangelo Twist and Crushed Curry.  Then I added: a strip of Whisper White seam binding that I tinted Melon Mambo with my Blendabilities; and a strip of Gold Sequin Trim.

Cute and super easy!
