First Frost Birthday

First Frost Birthday card stepped up detail - from theartfulinker.com

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  While we’re in the middle of one holiday and the next, I thought — let’s don’t forget the birthdays!  So, today I’m sharing a First Frost Birthday card three ways.  Just as I mentioned last week: beginner crafter/super busy; casual crafter/I’ve got a few minutes; avid crafter/I’ve got time so let’s get crafty!

First Frost Birthday

For this first card, you will use a Bermuda Bay card base.

Then, add a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Whisper White.

On the Whisper White layer, stamp the long leaf image three times

in Granny Apple Green.

Next, ink the berries from First Frost in Granny Apple Green

and stamp off before stamping.

Using the 2-1/4″ Circle Punch, cut a piece of Bermuda Bay.

Finally, stamp the sentiment from First Frost on

a 1″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White.

After cutting the banner end, adhere it with Dimensionals.

To step the first card up a little bit, you’re going to

add a few more elements

and Dimensionals.

Start by embossing the punched circle with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

Then, you will add it to the Whisper White layer with Dimensionals.

Next, stamp one small First Frost flower and cut it out by hand.

After wrapping the end of the sentiment banner with Silver

and Whisper White Baker’s Twine, adhere it with Dimensionals.

Then tuck the flower under the edge of the banner.

For this card, you will stamp the leaves in Granny Apple Green

and the berries in Lemon Lime Twist.

Using two colors gives even more appearance of depth.

Next, use the large Stitched Label to cut a piece of Bermuda Bay.

With the small First Frost flower, stamp five flowers in Coastal Cabana.

Then, cut them out with the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.

After stamping “happy birthday” from Perennial Birthday,

cut the banner end and layer it over the stitched label.

Next, arrange the flowers adding some with Dimensionals.

And finish with a trio of Clear Rhinestones.
