Fast Friday

Okay, it’s the end of the week and I’m sure everyone is ready for the weekend.  I of course have spent time playing, I mean working, today.  The first thing I created came together very quickly and is quite simple.  At first I thought, “Back to the drawing board.”  And then I thought, “Wait a minute!”.  I might be on to something here.  Fast Friday – where you can come for a quick, easy creative fix. Let’s try it for a couple of weeks and see.  You can help me out and let me know in the comments what you think.

Daydream Medallions Fast Friday

Now, I’m going to tell on myself a little bit.  When this stamp came out, two years ago I think, I just had to have it.  And, I did get it.  But, I never inked it.  Shhh….that’s not supposed to happen!

Today it finally saw some ink.  I’ve used Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana plus a tiny bit of Calypso Coral for pop.

Basic Rhinestones around the largest medallion add just enough zing to the card.

And you’ll notice the bits of Bermuda Bay in the two right hand corners.  I added that by inking an acrylic block.  For my purposes today, I like the texture you get rather than the smoother look of sponged or daubed on ink.  That bit of darker ink on the right of the card helps to balance the Calypso Coral which all on the right hand side.
