Creation Station Blog Hop – You’re the Man

Creation Station Blog Hop Banner

It’s time for another Creation Station blog hop.  Today we’re featuring projects that could be made for Father’s Day or another “you’re the man” kind of day.

Welcome to our hop.  I’m sure that you will find lots of inspiration from our international team.

Life at my house has been extra crazy the last few weeks. So I created for today with that in mind.  My card is super simple and is in fact a new twist on and old idea.

Golf Card for Creation Station from

This card started with a Soft Sky base.  A strip of Garden Green was cut with the Fringe Scissors and added along the bottom.

The Delightful Dijon golf tee was cut using the punch on the Gift Bag Punch Board.  A 1 3/8″ Circle punch cut the golf ball which was then embossed with the Decorative Dots folder.

And the clouds are from the new Tree Builder punch.  I’m not sure you can see it in the photo but, I’ve added a few swirls on the clouds with a Soft Sky Stampin’ Write marker.

Next, I went for a twist on a favorite — the Curvy Keepsake Box.

Baseball Cap Curvy Keepsake Box

The man at my house can often be seen wearing a baseball cap.  So, I thought this might be a cute way to give his Father’s Day present.  Shhh! don’t tell him!

The box and hair were cut from Chocolate Chip and then I cut one more panel in Whisper White for the face.

The cap is in Real Red.  There were partial panels cut from Real Red for the sides of the cap.  The bill is a 1 3/8″ Circle punch. and the crown was made by tracing the outside of the “handle” part of the die.  I added White Gel pen stitching and a Real Red Candy Dot button to the top of the cap.

His face was drawn with a Project Life Journaling Pen and the eyes were colored in with a Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write marker.

My daughter tells me he looks like Ash from Pokemon.

Let me know if you’d like a video for assembling this cute guy.

Thanks for stopping by!

Now it’s time to move along and see what all the other designers have for you today.
