Creation Station Blog Hop Metallics Gone Wild

Santas Sleigh for Creation Station blog hop Metallics gone wild from theartfulinker.com

For my card, I started with a Thick Whisper White cardstock base.

Next, I added a layer of Fabulous Foil Acetate.

This was followed by a gold Foil Snowflake.

Then, I cut a Gold Foil sleigh using Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits.

Over that, I stamped the sleigh image from Santa’s Sleigh in Versamark.

To finish the sleigh, I heat embossed in gold.

Finally, I added an embossed sentiment on a narrow strip of Whisper White.

Project 2

Mixed Metallics and Holly treat box for Creation Stattion Blog Hop metallics gone wild from theartfulinker.com

For my second project, I created a treat or gift box

and really let those metallics go wild!

My base is a Clear Tiny Treat Box.

For the sides and top, I embossed five 1-7/8″ pieces of Whisper White

with the Holly Embossing Folder.

Next, I smudged Versamark all over the panels.

Then, I carefully poured first one shade of embossing powder onto an area of the panels.

And then carefully poured the excess off.

I repeated this for each metallic.

After heat embossing, I attached the panels with Fast Fuse.

Finally, I added a fabulous bow!

To create the bow, I used Natural Trim, 1/8″ Silver Ribbon and Mini Sequin Trim.

Using generous amounts of each results in a lush bow.

I think this makes the package look even more special!

Love the elegance of your embossed sleigh card and the beauty of the marbled metallics on the box. I don’t understand why I keep talking myself out of that Holly embossing folder–it is beautiful with these metallics.
