I’m in love with this year’s new In Colors!

I have jumped from one “it’s my favorite” to another for the past month.

With that in mind, I decided to create with all of the new colors!!

Do you ever make a card and think, “well that’s great in this color or combo but I’m not sure how it would look in another?”

That’s what happened when I created for today!

I started with Lemon Lime Twist.

And I loved this monotone card so much, I decided to make it in the other four In Colors!

I’ve used an In Color for the base of each card: Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig or Tranquil Tide.

Then, I created a layer using the background stamp Tree Rings.

It was stamped in the same color as the base for each card.

Next, I added a faux bow with 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon.

Over the faux bow are a couple of loops of Mini Sequin Trim.

I used both gold and silver.

Next, I added a scallop circle cut from In Color cardstock with a Layering Circles Framelit.

Then, I stamped the flower stems from Background Bits on a Whisper White circle

cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and either Archival Basic Black or Basic Gray on Vellum.

Then, I heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

After gluing the sentiment layer on, I added Rhinestone and Pearl Basic Jewels to finish.

You have taken a really creative approach to using this background stamp. I had only thought of it in neutral colours. I love what you have come up with.

Thanks Julie. I wanted the sentiment but didn’t want to loose the look of everything else going on.
