Choose Happiness for #stampingsunday

It’s been a busy weekend here what with football on Friday night and a band competition yesterday.  And today — I’ve hosted an Open House featuring Paper Pumpkin.  We’ve played with Paper Pumpkin, met new and caught up with old friends and all around had a nice afternoon.

In addition to the Open House, today is #stampingsunday.  We’re using Choose Happiness and decided to go with a Fall or Halloween theme.  My creation could go either way.

My little treat started with a Tangelo Twist rosette to which I’ve added a piece of Burlap Ribbon.  I cut off the selvedge and frayed part of the ribbon.  Then, I created two long banner strips from Vellum cardsotck that are heat embossed in Black using the border image in the stamp set.

Next, I used a Banners Framelit to cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  After stamping the woodgrain image from Choose Happiness, I heat embossed with Heat and Stick and added Silver Glitter.  Then came the bird/crow image.  I stamped on Basic Black cardstock and heat embossed with Black embossing powder, then cut it out by hand.  Finally, I took a piece of Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon and cut off the selvedge.  Then I frayed the ribbon and collected the fine threads and adhered them to the rosette using Glue Dots.

I filled the 1×8 cellophane bag with peanut butter M&Ms in fall colors.  They fit perfectly and are a bit addictive.

Thanks for stopping by this #stampingsunday.
