CASEing Dolce and Gabbana

Last night as I was scrolling through my Pinterest feed, I came across this picture of a Dolce and Gabbana handbag:

And I thought, “I need to CASE that!”

I immediately went to check my product delivery to see if the new Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack (one of the new Sale-A-Bration products) had a design that I wanted for the background.  Score!  It did.

This morning, I inked up one of the flowers from Flower Patch and created my CASE.  Remember, when you CASE it’s not necessarily an exact copy.  It can be something you used for inspiration.

For this CASE, I went for the flowers and the black polka dots.

I stamped the flowers twice in each spot, twisting just a bit in order to create the idea of multiple layers of petals.

Tip: When stamping on vellum be sure to let the ink dry completely.  I used my heat tool to help the process.

Then, I got carried away.

Still CASEing, I went a somewhat different direction with color.  All of the flowers here are Real Red.  I inked once and then stamped four times.  I love that the photopolymer stamp carries enough ink to make it possible to stamp off so many times.

Anyway, this was a fun way to spend a snowy morning (really any morning).

Think Spring!
