Balloon Adventures for GDP074

I had a little time for crafting this morning before it was time to get packed up and head out to Pittsburgh.  Yay!  I decided that since my brain is a bit of a muddle this morning that I would kick things into gear with a sketch challenge.  One of my favorites is the Global Design Project, so I turned to it.

I used Balloon Adventures for GDP074

Balloon Adventures card for GDP074 from

I played with some Emerald Envy and Moroccan designer paper.

Both of those need to be pulled out again soon!

Here’s the sketch for this week:

GDP074 card sketch

After layering my Emerald Envy base with Very Vanilla cardstock,

I added a layer of Moroccan designer paper.

The banner is another pattern from the

Moroccan paper.

An Emerald Envy balloon was cut with the Balloon Bouquet punch.

The Gold Glimmer paper balloon was added at a slight offset so that you get a slight shadow effect.

There’s also another piece of Gold Glimmer paper at the bottom of the banner.

The balloon and this piece were cut with the Balloon Pop Up Thinlits.

After adding the Night of Navy Bakers Twine string for the balloon, Dimensionals were used to attach the sentiment.  In fact, there are lots of Dimensionals used on the layers of this card.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Balloon Adventures card.

Love the use of the moroccan DSP Sara! The colours are divine and I love the touches of Gold Glimmer paper. The twine tail on the balloon was a clever addition too. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project with us this week.
